There are several ways to bond someone out of the Rockdale County Jail: you may use a property bond, pay a cash bond, or go through a bonding company.
Property Bond
If you wish to post a property bond, the property must have the current year’s property tax paid. If the property is in Rockdale County, every person listed on the deed must come to the Rockdale County Jail to sign the bonding paperwork. If you wish to post a property bond on property located in another county, you must go to the Sheriff’s Office in that county and ask them for an out-of-county bond. They might require certain administrative fees to be paid before they will issue the property bond.
Cash Bond
To post a cash bond, bring the required bond amount in cash, traveler’s check, or a cashier’s check equal to the total amount of the bond.
Bonding Company
Bonding companies provide bonds for inmates and charge a fee--usually 12%-15% percent of the total amount of the bond. The bonding company you choose must be approved by the Sheriff.
The following is a list of bonding companies that are authorized to write bonds for the Rockdale County Jail. The Rockdale County Sheriff's Office does not recommend any of the following companies, but provides this list merely as a convenience.
